EWB-Philadelphia is always looking to grow its membership. We are looking for engineering as well as non-engineering professional disciplines for our international and local outreach projects. Our work requires skill sets from all walks of life whether it be in the fields of business, marketing, fundraising, health, education, journalism, language arts, graphic design, cultural studies, etc. If you want to help make an impact, we welcome you with open arms.
There are several ways to get started and involved with EWB-Philadelphia:
Train EWB members to become future project mentors and leaders. Involve and educate the local community about issues related to EWB-USA.
Providing professional chapter members as a resource for technical mentoring of the local student chapters (Delaware, Drexel, UPenn, Rowan, Temple), and also helping to facilitate development/leadership of those student chapters.
Locally, EWB-Philadelphia’s main presence in our home community involves volunteer service projects designed to promote sustainability and remove urban blight. Through frequent collaborations with service organizations such as Urban Tree Connection, Delaware River City Corps, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Greater Philadelphia Cares and Ray of Hope, EWB-Philadelphia volunteers alongside residents to beautify neighborhoods and clean up parks throughout the city.
