Open Kitchen Sculpture Garden
The Open Kitchen Sculpture Garden (OKSG), managed by Pedro Ospina of Norris Square Neighborhood Project, is a public space that promotes unity and well-being by supporting creativity, sustainability, education, and food access to the community. One of OKSG‘s programs, which are entirely volunteer-led, includes growing produce in the greenhouse on-site and distributing the yield free of charge to local residents, especially those in need. EWB Philly is partnering with OKSG to upgrade their current greenhouse to better suit the needs of the program. We at EWB are currently in the design phase of this project and are excited to present the deliverables so that OKSG can begin building their new greenhouse!
If you are interested in joining the team or supporting the design phase, please contact the Domestic Project Lead Olya Zhugayevich at olya@ewb-philly.org.
Community Engineering Corps
Leveraging the membership of Community Engineering Corps’ alliance partners – American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Water Works Association, and Engineers Without Borders USA – we bring more than 200,000 technical professionals and students together to serve communities across the United States. These individuals volunteer their time and expertise to assist communities that do not have the resources to access engineering services. With a strong commitment to community-driven projects, our volunteers work alongside community members to design solutions to identified problems.
